I’m still not sure about everton. They have been getting results, but from the two everton matches I have actually seen, they were dominated in the midfeild and looked to make only breif runs forward.

Will give cahill and AJ 1 more week before selling

2. Ed - November 10, 2006

I’m thinking the same myself, I’m also thinking of dropping Taylor because he just isn’t getting the points without Cambell in the team.

I’m picking Lampard as captain and bought Vidic this week for Mellberg.

3. ben - November 10, 2006

get Ronaldo as captain too - he seems to run the Man U midfield and is fundamental in its offence. Then you can think of getting Baines from Wigan - good defense, terrific free kicks, scored a goal and has an assist - all terrific for a defender. My 2 cents.

sucks!! i sold drogba last week and now he score hattrick!! i have let go two hattricks in three gameweeks!!! this is amazing!!

5. Aussiejezza- aka sheffield owls - November 13, 2006

Hey fellas, I heard that Cahill got injured this week. Any thoughts on a replacement for under 8 mil?

I’ve already got Fabregas and it is hard to pick another cheap midfeilder who is doing anything.

6. Neil - November 13, 2006

I have just bought in McCullouch, I was looking at Kilbane-he seems to be a little bit more reliable week in week out, but McCullouch is going well since he’s come back, with two goals in two games, and they were both around 5.3.

I sold Campbell and bought in Vidic, but if Campbell drops in cost I might buy him back in, he was one of very few Portsmouth players who looked good at the weekend.

I’ve Distin and am reluctant to swap him for Dunne on the same team, but Dunne is getting the points week in week out, if I was picking a team from scratch now then he’d definitely be in the team.

Actually that’s an interesting one……….. if you were to pick a new team now who would it consist of ?
How about 1 sure thing in each position and 1 gamble

Sure: Gamble:
Van Der Sar Kirkland (no gamble really)
Terry Huddlestone
Lampard McCullouch/Kilbane/Faye(BW)
Saha/Henry Scevschenko/Johnson/Abgonlahor

7. Neil - November 13, 2006

Formatting didn’t come out there:

Sure:

Van Der Sar
Terry
Lampard
Saha/Henry

Gamble:

Kirkland (no gamble really)
Huddlestone
McCullouch/Kilbane/Faye(BW)
Scevschenko/Johnson/Abgonlahor

I have bought in Drogba for Johnson and McCulloch for Cahill.
I still have Arteta from Everton and I think that is enough.

I had Dunne and Knight on the bench this week!! That’s 16 points on the bench. :(

9. Roy - November 13, 2006

that’s a good looking list…

Arsenal and Wigan have extra games coming up.

My watchlist just now is Kirkland, Cudicini, Gary Cahill from Villa (Martin Laursen is injured and I think it’s long-ish term so he could be great value), Micah Richards, Zat Knight, and Eboue. I’m still in love with the Pompey defence as a back-up, but it’s been a rough few weeks points wyse as they’ve had a tough run of games and they’ve taken their foot off the defensive pedal a little.

Then for midfielders, McCullouch and Claus Jensen.

It’s really tempting to switch Henry for Drogba - when you rack up Drogba’s total stats from both the Premier League fantasy football game and the UEFA Champions League fantasy football game, his stats are up there with Vidic. He’s unplayable in this form, and it would free up a lot of money. Budget isn’t really an issue this year as there’s so much quality for so little money.

I’m thinking of building a squad core and then having a ’strike’ player in each position that you switch depending on the games coming up. For example, you could have a free position for Drogba, Henry, or Rooney, a free position for Gerrard, for Ronaldo, or for Lampard, or a free position for… you get the idea.

I c that most of you made multiple changes for coming gameweek!! I dare not do that again, having letting away two hattricks. (so agonizing!!) it’s true that midfield got a lot bargain player. but they are facing difficult fixture and may get a bye on gw 14 or gw15. So I am not sure about getting them.

one sure thing is that MU and Chelsea is going on top form. I once considered getting rooney-saha strike partnership. but selling johnson is going to cost me 0.5! can’t let go.

I dun hav many options for midfield, having played 5-2-3 or 4-3-3 all the time. lampard and cahill is my sure starter so far, with another slot free for change after Parker out of favour. I’ve gambled on pompey’s Pedro Mendes this week. can he bring some surprises?

11. Ed - November 13, 2006

Has anyone thought about getting Gallas? He scores a good few goals and in the middle with Toure looks very steady!

12. fred (aya kamiki) - November 14, 2006

yup. I’ve oredy have gallas in my team. his presence has been very important for me. but at 7.3 he is quite expensive for a defender. you may consider him if you still dun hav a core defender in your team.

13. Roy - November 15, 2006

JP who posted on my site suggested Trabelsi for the watch list - if he’s fit and gets regular starts, he’s a snip at 4.2 as a defender who’s really a right midfielder backed up by an overlapping Micah Richards…

By the way, the Arsenal v Liverpool game was amazing to watch. Eboue is an incredible player.

14. Roy Henderson - November 20, 2006

Gallas has taken a knock in training and will be “out for a few weeks”. :-/

15. fred (aya kamiki) - November 20, 2006

damn, i also jus know this news….hav to put him to the sub, coz i oredy do the transfer for next gw…

16. Roy Henderson - November 23, 2006

Hey dudes - the case for Gerrard is beginning to look pretty compelling. I’ve done some work on it here: http://clevac.pmhclients.com/index.php

I’ve now made two transfers this week (Trabelsi for Primus, Gerrard for Giggs) and I’m tempted to slot in Gary Cahill too!

17. Roy Henderson - November 28, 2006

I’ve sold Henry… in fact, I’ve gone transfer crazy! Better put a bet on Henry to score now, cos every time I’ve done this in the past, he goes off and scores 20 points!

18. ben - November 29, 2006

better to get van persie from arsenal instead of henry. he can make a decent strike partner with drogba/rooney/saha or whoever else you have as your main striker.

19. fred(aya kamiki) - December 6, 2006

hey everyone now fantasy release new playing. fantasy cup will start after gameweek 18.

20. Roy Henderson - December 8, 2006
